Chad Doran, a reporter for WLUK, is leaving the Green Bay FOX affiliate to work for the mayor of Appleton, WI.
According to the Appleton Post-Crescent, Mayor Tim Hanna chose Doran to fill the newly created communications coordinator position to “increase transparency at City Hall and help with strategic internal and external communications.”
“I’ve been extremely blessed in the news business over the last 14 years and especially the last 2-1/2 years here at FOX 11,” Doran wrote on his facebook page. “But it’s time for a new adventure of sharing the great work being done by people working for and in the city of Appleton.”
Doran told the Post-Crescent. “With my journalism background I’m excited to tell the good stories of the people working for the city.”
