Jerry Del Core is stepping down as gm of Sacramento FOX affiliate KTXL on Friday.
The Sacramento Bee reports Del Core told staff in an email yesterday, “A week ago my boss said she wanted to make a change in the station’s leadership.” He then thanked everyone at the station for making “FOX 40 a great experience for me and my family.”
Before coming to KTXL in 2010, Del Core was coo and Sacramento market manager for Adelante Media Group.
In recently released household ratings for the May sweeps, KTXL’s Fox40 News ranked last against competing local newscasts at 5 and 6 p.m. weekdays and at 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The station’s weekday morning news program at 6 a.m. ranked fourth, ahead of KOVR Channel 13.
A Tribune spokesperson had no comment for TVSpy.
