Former WXIA/WATL GM Bob Walker Upped at The Weather Channel

Bob Walker, who has been with The Weather Channel for a year, as been upped to EVP and GM of networks and content for The Weather Channel Companies. Walker’s new role will include responsibility for all of TWCC’s live and original programming, including on-air and digital content as well as the TWC Radio Network.  He will continue to report to president and CEO, Mike Kelly.

Prior to joining TWCC, Walker was the president and general manager of WXIA-TV and WATL-TV in Atlanta. He’d been president and GM of WXIA-TV since 1996 and of WATL since 2006, when Gannett acquired the station.

Walker spent 22 years with Gannett.
