Ardis Gonzalez Leon has been named creative director at Tribune’s South Florida station SFLTV.
Leon will be in charge of on-air promotion and original content for SFLTV, supervising the creative and street teams while working closely with sales and station management.
“Ardis is uniquely suited to the position with her extensive management background in both promotion and community affairs,” said vp and station manager Marilyn Hansen, “coupled with her almost 20 years of experience in the industry, the majority being in the South Florida market will give her the ability to jump in and hit the ground running.”
Before coming to SFLTV, she was community affairs and public relations manager for NBC-owned WTVJ in Miami. Before that, she was the promotion manager at CBS-owned WFOR-WBFS in Miami. She’s also worked at KCBS-KCAL in Los Angeles and WPLG in south Florida.
