Louis Aguirre is back at it in South Florida.
As we told you in June, Aguirre was going to be returning to Miami to anchor and report for WPLG.
The Miami Times caught up with the former Insider anchor about his return.
“They don’t call this place the Magic City for nothing,” Aguirre said “Coming back to Miami is my full-circle moment.”
Aguirre started his career in Miami at the Telemundo affiliate and moved over to WPLG a short time after. Since then he’s made moves between local and national news which included a short stint hosting Extra. Most recently he co-hosted The Insider on CBS. That show was cancelled earlier this year and ended its run in August.
“I want to go into places like Biscayne Bay and the Everglades and talk about what’s really happening,” he said.
