Former CNN reporter has landed in Louisville, Kentucky.
David Mattingly has joined WAVE 3 as an anchor, according to the station website.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Mattingly wrote “First night on the air at #WAVE3News with the wonderful Dawne Gee! Overwhelmed by all the kind messages. It’s great to be home!”.

Mattingly will co-anchor NBC-affiliate’s the 5:30 and 7:30 newscasts and report during the week.
He spent more than 20 years at CNN in Atlanta reporting, producing and anchoring in some capacity. He’s an Emmy and Peabody Award winner.
