Where do TV Anchors go when they retire? If they live in Dallas, they might just end up on KTXD‘s new morning show.
While “The Texas Daily”, hosted by former WFAA news anchor Jeff Brady, may sound like any other news show, the on-air talent will look a bit more seasoned, to put it delicately. Unlike other TV Stations who are always looking for the next fresh face, KTXD has hired anchors who appeal to its chosen demographic, the aging baby boomer, according to the station’s website,
“All of our commentators are extremely excited about this opportunity,” says Brian Joyce, KTXD-TV station manager. “Each one will give a perspective that is not only credible but also interesting to our viewers. We’re talking about journalists who have played huge roles in the landscape of TV news in the DFW market. Who wouldn’t want to watch a familiar face?”

Targeting boomers, those born between 1946 and 1964, the new morning show is looking to leverage the reputations its anchor team has built over the years in the Dallas-Fort Worth market,

The show airs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday.
