Crystal Egger is leaving Los Angeles NBC-owned station KNBC.
“Taking a huge leap of faith!” Egger wrote on her Facebook page. “I’ve decided to leave the local newsroom for something different. A new opportunity, a new lifestyle for my family.”
Egger came to KNBC from The Weather Channel in 2013.
Though she wouldn’t say where she’s going, Egger did say “More on the next adventure soon! In the meantime, I’ll enjoy (immensely!) sleeping past 2am and getting my daughters off to school.”
KNBC confirmed what a viewer figured out after seeing a billboard (see the tweet below) earlier this month. Egger’s replacement on the morning show will be Shanna Mendiola.
