Cox Media Picks General Manager and News Director for Tulsa Stations

Cox Media Group has named Greg Bilte as general manager and Suzanne Nadell as news director for its Tulsa FOX affiliate KOKI and MyNetworkTV station KMYT.

“We are thrilled that we can tap such phenomenal internal talent for these important leadership positions at our newest TV brands,” said CMG’s executive vice president of broadcast Bill Hoffman.  “Greg and Suzanne will play pivotal roles in leading the professionals at KOKI-TV and KMYT-TV to continue informing, inspiring, entertaining and improving the Tulsa community.”

Bilte comes from CMG’s San Francisco Bay Area station KTVU where he was the director of sales for KTVU, KICU and KTVU.com. He has also worked at KXLY in Spokane, WA, TeleRep and KTTV in Los Angeles.

“This is a great opportunity to be part of Cox Media Group’s growth in the Tulsa broadcast market and to lead a team that is truly dedicated to its audience and customers,” Bilte said in a statement.  “Additionally, I’m looking forward to coming to the Tulsa area and becoming part of the thriving community.”

Nadell was the executive producer for Cox’s Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB. She started her career at WJHL in Johnson City, TN and has worked at WBBH in Fort Myers, FL, WFTV in Orlando, FL and WFLA in Tampa..

“I’m excited about the opportunity to become part of the KOKI news team and Tulsa community,” said Nadell.  “I also look forward to joining an already strong news team.  We’ll work together to serve the community by delivering news that’s important to the community plus the most accurate weather information to keep families safe.”

Cox closed on its purchase of both stations in December.
