KDEN, the Telemundo station in Denver, has announced the promotion of Carlos Rausseo from multimedia journalist and back-up anchor to sports anchor.
Rausseo will join news anchor Guillermo Martínez and weather anchor Javier Castro for “Noticiero Telemundo Denver” at 4:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
“We are thrilled that Carlos will officially join our anchor team to help Telemundo Denver deliver the latest sports news and information to our Spanish-language viewers,” KDEN news director Pedro Calderón Michel said in a statement. “His journalistic experience, which has earned him an Emmy award, will strengthen our local news operation and the commitment we have to better serve our Hispanic community here in Denver and throughout Colorado.”
Rausseo’s first day on-air is Monday, November 3.
