At the end of last month, Karrick announced the news of his departure on (where else?) his Facebook page:

Although being home in Minnesota for the past 4 1/2 years has been a dream, it’s time to take my career to the next level. I am excited to be working with 4 excellent meteorologists at News 13, and sister station Bay News 9 meteorologists Mike Clay and Brian McClure, and their team as well.
