Boston FOX Station Has Added Nine On-Air in Last Two Weeks

In a little more than two weeks, Boston Cox owned station WFXT has added nine reporters and anchors.

“Our talented team of broadcast journalists continues to grow and will provide New Englanders with more breaking news, weather and daily investigative reports,” said WFXT VP and GM Tom Raponi. “We are making a major commitment to providing viewers with the best journalism and covering the most important, impactful news stories across all our communities.”

WFXT news director Lee Rosenthal told TVSpy the station, which was FOX owned until October, has also added producers and will add more newsroom personnel like photographers and additional producers.

The nine on-air types that have recently joined include 1) morning anchor Daniel Miller, 2) morning anchor Sara Underwood 3) traffic reporter Julie Grauert 4 & 5) morning reporters Jessica Reyes and Michael Henrich 6) PM reporter Robert Goulston 7 & 8) investigative reporters Kerry Kavanaugh and Katie Burcham and 9) sports anchor Bryan Salmond.

Speaking about the hires for the morning show, Rosenthal said, “We will have the most anchors, reporters and photographers every morning, making sure viewers get valuable information as they start their day. We really wanted to make sure we made the biggest commitment possible with FOX25 Morning News airing for six hours and being the only local news option in the 7 to 9 a.m. time period.”
