André Moreau Leaving WAFB

WAFB anchor André Moreau is leaving the Baton Rouge, La. CBS affiliate after eight years.

“Andre has been a big part of our success story and we’re sorry to see him go,” WAFB News Director Robb Hays told Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. “But we support his decision to enter a new chapter in his life.”

He told Business Report he wants to stay in the area and is exploring several options. His last day is Friday, Sept. 2.

Moreau started his career at WAFB as a sports anchor in 1987. He came back in 2008 after working at WCMH in Columbus, Ohio. He’s also worked at WJBK in Detroit, KCAL in Los Angeles and KFMB in San Diego.
