Amanda Barren who currently anchors the WSAZ 5:00 p.m. show will now anchor the 5:30, 6:00, and 11:00 p.m. news for the Charleston NBC affiliate.
“It’s a lot but I’m looking forward to it,” Barren told the Charleston Daily Mail. “I love to write and I love people so this job is perfect for me.”
She replaces Jessica Ralston who left the Charleston-Huntington, WV, NBC affiliate in early October.

Barren rejoined WSAZ last December after two years at WKYC in Cleveland. She started her career at WTAP in Parkersburg, WV.
