ABC Station Leads Social in Market 3

ABC-owned station WLS was the social leader for the period between January 23 and February 22, according to data from Share Rocket.

Spanish speaking stations in the Chicago market made some gains, the overall leader remains WLS with a 33.1 share. Fox-owned WFLD was second with a 26.1, Tribune’s WGN had a 23.7, and NBC-owned WMAQ came in with an 8.6.

Telemundo’s WSNS and Univision’s WGBO had a good month. WGBO improved its share by 69.2 percent, its engagement by 94 percent, and its total social audience by 12.3 percent, primarily through its Facebook and Instagram pages. WGBO’s Instagram page was third in the market in both share and engagement. Compared to the previous 30 days, WSNS improved its Share by 28.4 percent, its engagement by 51.4 percent, and its total social audience by 3.1 percent.

Two of the top three individuals, Ericka Pino (2.2 share) and Erika Maldonado (0.89 share), work at Univision’s WGBO. WGN’s Paul Konrad was second with a 0.97 Share. Pino had the No. 1 individual talent Facebook page in the market with a 2.3 Share, which bettered three main station accounts in the market.
