As ABC’s senior foreign affairs correspondent, Martha Raddatz is a frequent traveler to war zones worldwide. She shares the things she can’t travel without in this month’s Foreign Policy.
Gadget-wise, Raddatz says she always travels with an iPod and microphone, as well as an iPad and a regular old reporter’s notebook. “You can’t carry an iPad on the battlefield,” she says.
Raddatz notes there are a few things that have been with her in every war zone — a pink silk sleeping bag, a photo of her kids, and a Gap scarf she wears because “it helps keep the sand out of the body armor, and you can wipe off sweat, all in one!”
