The Weekend Ticker: Emanuel, Ruhle, Wallace

By Merrill Knox

  • Fox News Channel chief congressional correspondent Mike Emanuel will receive the Humanitarian Media Achievement Award at the Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund gala tonight. “I never imagined receiving awards, or [having gone to] half the places I’ve been over the years,” he tells the National Herald.
  • Stephanie Ruhle says her transition from Wall Street to Bloomberg TV has been easy. “It’s great because it’s the same stuff I’ve focused on my whole career, and now I get to do it on television,” she tells 201 Magazine. “It’s not even that big of a change because I spent years surrounded by unbelievably talented people in the financial industry, learning from them, working with them.”
  • Jay Wallace, Fox News’ VP of News and senior executive producer of news and politics, talks to Lost Remote about how “America Live with Megyn Kelly” is leveraging social media. “The amazing thing about this social media age is that it’s usage on Megyn’s show and in the newsroom has grown to a point where it is hard to imagine what life was without it,” he said. “It has become second nature in news production.”
