The Weather — and Baby Locked in Hot Car — Channel

Weather Channel reporter Julie Marin was sent out on a story for “AMHQ” this morning to demonstrate what to do if you see a baby locked in a hot car. Alongside two DeKalb Country firefighters, and armed with a tire iron, Martin took a whack at the back window… then another… and another.

After 19 blows, the window still didn’t break. “That’s not easy,” Martin said. “No, it’s not,” the firefighter responded. “Sometimes, the tire irons can be a little difficult, so we’re going to graduate you to this halligan,” a larger tool used by firefighters. After 9 strikes, success! Dummy baby saved.

“This would be hard for some average person, to do this,” Martin said. WATCH:
