- The Weather Channel announced a number of new programs and initiatives during the Television Critics Association Summer press tour in Los Angeles. The biggest is the series “Tipping Points,” which will tackle climate change and its effects ion the environment head-on. The 60-minute series will debut on The Weatehr Channel in October, 2013.
