After a week off due to special programming on September 11, NBC’s “Meet the Press” was the most-watched political affairs show on September 18, besting second-place “Face the Nation” on CBS by 217,000 total viewers and 105,000 A25-54 viewers.
Compared to the same week last year, “Face the Nation” has shown the most total-viewer growth of the four shows: the CBS program is up +4%. “Fox News Sunday” has also shown slight growth, +1%, while “This Week” is down -3% and “Meet the Press” is down -15%.
In the A25-54 demographic, “This Week” is the only political affairs show to post a year-over-year gain: +7%. “Meet the Press” is down -11%, while “Face the Nation” and “Fox News Sunday” were both down -8%.
