Sunday Show Ratings: October 30

Sunday-AM-Anchors_061015_640Face the Nation with John Dickerson was the most-watched Sunday public affairs show for October 30, while Meet the Press with Chuck Todd finished at the top of the heap among viewers from the key A25-54 demo.

FTN grew delivered solid year-over-year growth in total viewers (+9 percent) and particularly in A25-54 (+36 percent). Dickerson sat down with Gov. Mike Pence, and the show aired a portion of Dickerson’s interview with Vice President Joe Biden.

MTP grew +10 percent in total viewers and +23 percent in the key news demo from the comparable Sunday in 2015. The program also continues to lead the way in the Washington D.C. market, winning D.C. in total viewers for 73 consecutive broadcasts (since 3/22/2015).

This Week with George Stephanopoulos finished No. 2 in the news demo last week, growing +22 percent in the category from Nov. 1, 2015. This Week also delivered year-over-year growth in total viewers (+18 percent). All in all, ABC’s Sunday public affairs program is drawing its largest total audience in 15 years.

Fox News Sunday delivered the most year-over-year growth of the Sunday shows in total viewers (+19.5 percent). FNS also grew in the news demo (+16 percent). The 2 p.m. repeat delivered 1.9 million total viewers and 403,000 from the news demo, both of which were yearly highs for the 2 p.m. repeat. The 10 p.m. repeat delivered 2 million total viewers and 454,000 from the demo, also a 2016-high for a 10 p.m. repeat.

The Oct. 30 installment of Univision’s Al Punto delivered more adults 18-34 than CBS and FOX, and continues to deliver significant year-over-year audience growth in all key news demographics.

*Editor’s Note: Face the Nation’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 58.7 percent of the CBS affiliates.
