Sunday Show Ratings: November 24 and November Sweeps

CBS’ “Face the Nation” was tops in both ratings measurements on November 24, besting ABC’s “This Week” by +510,000 total viewers and +254,000 A25-54 viewers. “Meet the Press” was preempted for NBC’s coverage of Formula 1 racing.

Compared to the same week last year, “Face the Nation,” “This Week” and “Fox News Sunday” are all up. ABC is up the most, +48% in total viewers and +30% in the A25-54 demographic. Univision’s “Al Punto” was flat in total viewers and down -19% in the demo.

Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,194,000 total viewers and 462,000 A25-54 viewers.

“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.

As for November Sweeps:

“Face the Nation” wins the Sweep in both total viewers and the A25-54 demographic, delivering its best November Sweep since the advent of people meters in 1987 in total viewers and since 2008 in the demo.

“Meet the Press” was second in total viewers and ABC’s “This Week” was second in the demo, its first Sweeps victory over NBC since July 1993. “Fox News Sunday” was fourth in both ratings measurements.

Note: Univision will not have Sweeps numbers for its newscasts until later this week.
