CBS’ “Face the Nation” was back on top in the first week of 2014, besting NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +30,000 viewers in both ratings measurements. ABC’s “This Week,” which was number one last week, slipped to third.
“Fox News Sunday,” which had an interview with Mitt Romney, delivered its second-highest rated show in the demo since the beginning of 2013.
Compared to the same week last year, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox are all up across the board. Fox is up the most (+42%) in total viewers and ABC is up the most (+48%) in the A25-54 demo. Univision’s “Al Punto” was up in total viewers but down in the demo.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,033,000 total viewers and 365,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 869,000 total viewers and 393,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
