A split decision for the Sunday public affairs shows over the long holiday weekend: CBS’ “Face the Nation” wins in total viewers and ABC’s “This Week” wins in the A25-54 demographic. It has become a three-way race for the top spot on Sunday mornings: just 18,000 demo viewers separated “This Week” and third-place “Meet the Press.”
Compared to the same week last year, ABC is up +13% in total viewers and down -2% in the A25-54 demo. CBS is flat in total viewers and down -4% in the demo, while NBC is flat in both ratings measurements. “Fox News Sunday” and Univision’s “Al Punto” were down across the board.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,289,000 total viewers and 439,000 A25-54 viewers. Cable rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 916,000 total viewers and 430,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 50% of the country.
