Despite being blacked out to Time Warner Cable customers in several major markets, CBS’ “Face the Nation” won in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demographic on August 4. For the second week running, ABC’s “This Week” was second in both ratings measurements, bumping NBC’s “Meet the Press” to third.
Compared to the same week last year, Unvision’s “Al Punto” is up the most, +70% in Total Viewers and +32% in A25-54 viewers. “Face the Nation” (+19% / +16%) is up in both ratings measurements, and ABC’s “This Week” (+19% / -2%) and “Fox News Sunday” (+12% / -7%) are up in Total Viewers and down in the A25-54 demographic. (“Meet the Press” was preempted last year for NBC’s coverage of the London Olympics.)
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,114,000 Total Viewers and 409,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 968,000 Total Viewers and 449,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 51% of the country.
