It’s been four weeks since the Christiane Amanpour iteration of ABC’s “This Week” launched and here’s where things stand: In total viewers, the program remains in third behind front-runner “Meet the Press” and “Face the Nation,” though the gap was just 60,000 viewers this week.
In the demo, ABC has held onto the second place spot since Amanpour started. ABC, FOX, and NBC all posted week-to-week growth in both the demo and total viewers.
Compared to the same Sunday last year when George Stephanopoulos was still host, ABC was flat in total viewers and up slightly in the demo. CBS was also up in total viewers year-to-year.
Cable and network rebroadcasts of “MTP” drew an additional 1,151,000 viewers. “Fox News Sunday” drew an additional 1,884,000 total viewers on cable replays.
