The debut of CNN’s newest original series, “The Hunt with John Walsh,” won the 9pmET timeslot last night, delivering 989,000 total viewers and 330,000 A25-54 viewers, according to Nielsen Fast National data. It was the highest-rated debut episode in the demo for a CNN original series.
Compared to the average of the prior four Sundays, “The Hunt” was up +89% in total viewers and 96% in the A25-54 demographic.
Sunday’s episode featured the case of Shane Miller, a California man accused of killing his wife and two daughters. Last week, Walsh told us that when it comes to finding and catching fugitives, “television is still the most powerful medium.”
