The first footage of Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig showed the two men being dropped off at Gaza City’s Beach Hotel. Centanni “briefly embraced a Palestinian journalist in the lobby, then rushed upstairs with Wiig behind him,” the AP says.
Upstairs, the pair “met with Palestinian officials, including Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh. The three men sat in a circle of chairs at the hotel” before holding a news conference.
At 8:32am, the AP carried a news alert: “Freed Fox journalists cross into Israel from Gaza…”
