FNC’s Shep Smith anchored Studio B from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi this afternoon, hours after President Bush visited the area.
“I took a home video recorder out and spoke to a bunch of people, most of them volunteers on this coast from all parts of the country, trying to help out their fellow citizens. And I heard the same thing over and over again: You cannot know how bad it is,” Shep said.
“…For dozen and dozens of miles it still looks like a war zone. I think if people knew you would have an army from across this nation showing up to help you clean up. I just don’t think people know.”
