Tonight on Fox News’ “O’Reilly Factor,” Governor Sarah Palin made her debut as a contributor for the network.
Palin responded to the recent “60 Minutes” report featuring Steve Schmidt, John McCain‘s campaign strategist, and the authors of the book “Game Change.” She called the claim that she didn’t know the difference between North and South Korea “a lie” and said, “I had been warned, you know, don’t watch. It’s a bunch of B.S. from [Steve] Schmidt and from some of those.”
Bill O’Reilly led into her interview by showing clips of criticisms from pundits and commentators on MSNBC and CNN about Palin’s hire. After introducing Palin, he said, “Obviously folks are watching Fox News far more than they watch these pin heads. You are the former governor of Alaska, former vice presidential candidate. You are a politician. You are a mom. You are an American. What is the threat?”
“They don’t like the message,” she said. “They don’t like the common sense conservative solutions that I think I represent and articulate as I explain what I believe are solutions to the great challenges facing America. They don’t like to hear it.”
O’Reilly told Palin, “You now have a forum here on Fox News” for “anytime you want to set the record straight.”
