Rebecca Jarvis Leaving CBS for ABC

By Chris Ariens

Rebecca Jarvis announced on “CBS This Morning” that she is leaving the network and TVNewser hears she’s heading to ABC News. Jarvis anchored the Saturday edition of “CTM” and was also a financial correspondent for CBS News. Jarvis joined CBS from CNBC 3 years ago this week. She had been with CNBC for four years, joining not long after being named runner-up on season 4 of “The Apprentice.”

“Anthony, it’s been a real pleasure and a treat and gift sitting next to you,” said Jarvis in her goodbye to co-anchor Anthony Mason “You’re one of a kind. You’ve been so great. And to everybody who sits out here, you’re wonderful. Thank you for all of your hard work. Thank you to all of the producers and thanks to you, the viewers.”

We hear CBS is not ready to announce just yet a new co-anchor for the Saturday edition of “CTM.” The network recently brought on Melody Hobson to contribute to the network’s financial and economic coverage. Mason remains CBS’s senior business and economics correspondent.
