Radio Host Mark Levin to MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: ‘I’m going to drag your ass into federal court’

By Molly Stark Dean

Talk radio host Mark Levin is fuming mad at MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, so mad that he has threatened to sue the MSNBC host.

On Monday’s “Hardball” Matthews said Levin exemplified the heightened political discourse on talk radio:

People like Mark Levin, Michael Savage, for example who every time you listen to them are furious, furious at the left with anger that just builds and builds in their voice and by the time they go to commercial, they’re just in some rage, every night, with ugly talk. Ugly sounding talk. And it never changes.

Levin — an attorney who heads the Landmark Legal Foundation and is a former official of the U.S. Justice Department — said on his radio show Wednesday, “I’m waiting for an allegation that is very specific against me because I’m going to sue.”

Like Matthews, Levin had his own list: “Chris Matthews, Ed Schultz, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, Joe Scarborough – test me. Test me. David Frum, you little weasel, test me. All of you.”

An MSNBC representative told TVNewser, “We won’t dignify his outlandish comments with a response.” Interesting note: Michael Savage had a short-lived weekend run on MSNBC in 2003.
