In an interview with Showbiz 411’s Roger Friedman, Piers Morgan laid out his plans for a new CNN role post-“Piers Morgan Live.”
“I’ll make a deal to do 20 to 25 shows a year, all interviews with big names. That’s what I wanted to do in the first place, not reports on snow storms and that kind of thing.”
Morgan was pretty vague on what he thinks will replace his 9pmET show: “A news program of some kind,” he said. Our poll for who should replace him had a familiar CNN figure winning by a huge margin.
No word yet from CNN on an end date for “Piers Morgan Live” or a replacement. Morgan hosted a live midnight post-Oscars show for the network this morning.
