Obama Picks His Hannity Representative

Sen. Barack Obama hasn’t appeared on Hannity & Colmes yet, but apparently he’s found someone he’d like to send on in his place.

Fox News embed producer Bonney Kapp writes on the Foxnews.com embed blog about a campaign event in Youngstown, Ohio earlier this week, when Obama took a question from the crowd that turned into a lengthy statement about Obama’s presidential merits.

“I might have to put Mr. Burgess on Fox News!” said Obama as the crowd cheered. “I’ll put Mr. Burgess up against Sean Hannity. He’ll tear him up.”

Hannity discussed the comment on H&C, and stuck to his wish to see Obama, and not a supporter, on the air. “I view that as a challenge, Senator. I’m saying come on the show,” he said.

> Update: A TVNewser commenter pointed out Hannity said the Obama supporter would be on the air this weekend. Last night at the end of H&C, Hannity said: “By the way, Mr. Burgess has agreed to be right here on the Fox News channel Sunday night, 9:00, “Hannity’s America,” and he’s going to be tearing me up.”
