Obama Gets Almost All of 60 Minutes

By Chris Ariens

In his first interview since being elected president, Barack Obama is getting all three segments of tonight’s 60 Minutes. It’s rare that a single topic gets more than one segment on the show — we’re reminded that Lesley Stahl’s 2005 interview with Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page was spread across two segments.

So, is this a first?

Steve Kroft, who conducted the interview with the Obamas, reminded viewers of the one thing that would not be left out: “I’m Steve Kroft. Our interview with the Obamas plus Andy Rooney, tonight on ’60 minutes.'”
