‘Nightline’ Continues Topping in Total Viewers

nightline logo_304x200For the week of July 21, ABC’s “Nightline” ranked number one in total viewers, marking 14 out of the last 17 weeks the late-night news program has topped its broadcast competition.

The program drew 1.539 million viewers, beating “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” by 76,000 viewers and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” by 249,000 viewers. NBC’s “Late Night” is still tops in the A25-54 demo.

Year-over-year, “Nightline” was the only late-night program to grow in total viewers, the A25-54 demo, and the A18-49 demo, up +14,%, +25%, and +39%, respectively. It should be noted during this week last year, NBC aired “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in the timeslot.
