NBCU Hires For Hispanic Enterprises Role

By Chris Ariens

NBCUniversal is doubling down on the growth of the Hispanic market.

The company announced today that Marlene Sanchez Dooner, currently head of investor relations for parent company Comcast, is moving to NBCU where she will be Executive Vice President of Hispanic Enterprises & Content. Sanchez Dooner will report to Joe Uva, chairman of the unit. Uva joined NBCU in April. He’d been CEO of Univision Communications for four years, ending in 2011. He was replaced at Univision by former NBC executive Randy Falco.

The Sanchez Dooner announcement comes a few days after Cesar Conde joined NBCU. He had been CEO of Univision Networks since 2009. Conde reports to NBCU CEO Steve Burke in a new business development and strategy role.
