NBC also announced an initiative “60 Years of Today,” which will look back at different aspects of the show over the next year, including past hosts, celebrity appearances, and how Rockefeller Plaza and the studio itself have changed over the years.

All of that will lead up to a 60th anniversary celebration slated for January 13, 2012, with “Today” anchors past and present, and celebrity and musical guests.
