NBC’s Andrea Canning Gives Birth to 5th Child

Dateline NBC correspondent Andrea Canning and her husband USMC Major Tony Bancroft, welcomed their fifth daughter into the world this week.

Elle Corbin Bancroft was born Wednesday just after noon, at a hospital in Greenwich, CT, weighing 8 pounds 5 ounces and measuring 20 1/2 inches. Elle joins her big sisters Anna, Charlie, 3-year-old Christina, known as Kiki, and 15-month old Georgia.

If you’re keeping count, that’s 5 daughters in 7 years. Canning and Bancroft married in 2008. They were introduced to each other by ABC correspondent Martha Raddatz. Canning joined NBC from ABC in 2012. Since her arrival at Dateline, she has been one of the show’s most prolific correspondents.
