By Chris Ariens

It was an odd week to say the least for the broadcast morning shows. The neck-and-neck race between “Good Morning America” and the “Today” show was as close as it gets, with both programs drawing 4.604 million total viewers during a week that saw Ann Curry say goodbye and “CBS This Morning” put up the most growth of all programs.

While “GMA” and “Today” tied in total viewers, NBC still led in the A25-54 demo by +277,000 viewers.

Curry’s final day as co-anchor was last Thursday. “GMA” won the following day with a +664,000 Total Viewer lead and a +112,000 A25-54 viewer lead. In fact, Friday’s “GMA” was the most-watched morning show of the week. “GMA’s” Friday concert featured LMFAO while “Today” had Maroon 5.
