Morning Show Ratings: Week of Feb. 27 & Sweeps

NBC’s “Today” remains the top morning show, winning both the week of February 27 and the February 2012 sweep.

Year-over-year growth continues to be strong for ABC’s “Good Morning America,” which has improved by +7% in Total Viewers and +14% in A25-54 viewers. “Today” is down -7% in Total Viewers and -8% in the demographic, and “CBS This Morning” is down -4% and -6%, respectively. “GMA” and “Today” are separated this week by 170,000 Total Viewers, the closest margin in more than four years.

“GMA” is also up compared to the previous sweep, +2% in Total Viewers and +6% in A25-54 viewers. “Today” is down -1% in Total Viewers and up +1% in the demographic, while CBS is up +1% in Total Viewers and down -1% in the demographic.

The averages for the week of February 27:

  • Total Viewers: NBC: 5.53M / ABC: 5.36M / CBS: 2.59M
  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.49M / ABC: 2.17M / CBS: 1.07M

The averages for February 2012 sweeps:

  • Total Viewers: NBC: 5.55M / ABC: 5.03M / CBS: 2.62M
  • A25-54 viewers: NBC: 2.47M / ABC: 2.05M / CBS: 1.08M
