Megyn Kelly in ELLE: ‘The FOX Fox’

By Chris Ariens

megyn kelly kelly file 5Fox News primetime host Megyn Kelly is profiled in ELLE.

From her roots in small-town upstate New York, to her first career as a corporate lawyer, Kelly recounts several core experiences that changed her life.

The first occured in her early teens, she was bullied for “basically my entire seventh-grade year. It was a year of torture.” The second happened a few years later, when she was a sophomore in high school. Her father died. “He was fine. And then, 10 days before Christmas, he died of a heart attack in our house. I mean, the Christmas tree was there and everything.”

Then there’s her transition from lawyer to TV news reporter, moonlighting one day a week at WJLA in Washington just to get her foot in the door. Now earning an estimated $6 million a year, Kelly’s not looking back.

And even liberals might conclude that although Megyn Kelly is clearly not on their side and is just beginning an epic, probably history-making run in broadcast news, it’s going to be one helluva show.
