Meet the Press Is Now No. 1 for Nine Consecutive Quarters Among Adults 25-54

Another quarter, another ratings win for Meet the Press.

With Chuck Todd in the moderator chair, MTP finished Q1 2018 as the No. 1 Sunday public affairs show across the board, and has now won the ratings race three of the last five quarters across the board.

Averaging 3.87 million total viewers for the quarter, per most current data from Nielsen, MTP posted +24 percent more total viewers than ABC’s This Week, and +9 percent more than CBS’s Face the Nation.

MTP also continues to dominate among younger Sunday morning news viewers, winning the key A25-54 demo for the 9th consecutive quarter. It was the sole Sunday political program to average more than a million demo viewers.

But compared to Q1 2017. Meet the Press was -5 percent in total viewers and -11 percent in the demo.

CBS’s Face the Nation moderated by Margaret Brennan finished No. 2 in total viewers and No. 3 in the key demo this past quarter. The program was -7 percent in total viewers, and -16 percent in the key demo from Q1 2017.

ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos ranked No. 2 in the key demo this past quarter, and has now defeated FTN in the demo 8 consecutive quarters and in 11 of the last 12. The program ranked No. 3 in total viewers, was -11 percent in total viewers and -13 percent in the demo versus Q1 2017.

Fox News Sunday hosted by Chris Wallace was down double digits versus Q1 2017,
