May 2015 Ratings: Fox News Up Double Digits

foxnews400Fox News Channel had a strong May, showing double digit growth among younger viewers. In fact, in prime time, FNC is up a whopping +42 percent vs. May 2014 in the A25-54 demo. Among total viewers, FNC is up +11 percent in prime time. With several nights of breaking news from Baltimore, and the crash of the DC to NY Amtrak train, and severe weather in Texas, Fox News proved to be the third most-watched cable network behind TNT and ESPN.

The ratings for May 2015 (Nielsen Live + Same Day data):

  • Primetime (Mon-Sun): 1,612,000 total viewers / 314,000 A25-54
  • Total Day (Mon-Sun): 982,000 total viewers / 194,000 A25-54

Every Fox News program from 9 a.m. ET through 10 p.m. ET is up in both total viewers and demo, many by double digits. Hannity had its second-highest rated month in the demo since moving to the 10 p.m ET timeslot in October 2013. In May, FNC marked 161 consecutive months at #1 in total viewers, dating back to January 2002. FNC beat CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers in both total day and prime time.
