Today Matt Lauer will interview Karilyn Bales, wife of Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales, the U.S. soldier accused of killing 17 Afghan civilians in a shooting massacre March 11. This is Karilyn Bales’ first television interview since the tragedy unfolded. On Friday her husband was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. Bales faces the death penalty if convicted.
