Maria Bartiromo Ready to Make Business Part of Sunday Conversation

By Jordan Chariton

BartiromoFoxAhead of the debut of “Sunday Morning Futures” this Sunday at 10amET, Fox’s Maria Bartiromo tells the AP’s David Bauder she’s ready to bring more to the Sunday morning landscape than your standard politics roundtable.

“You turn on the television Sunday morning and you see all of these politicos talking their talking points, but very rarely do you ever see anybody connecting the dots,” Bartiromo said, adding it’s about the economy and job creation. Her first scheduled guests certainly fit the bill. Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier and Cleveland Clinic chief executive Dr. Toby Cosgrove will join Bartiromo this Sunday. And in an interview with Parade, Bartiromo details her unexpected friendship with the late rocker Joey Ramone.

TVNewser sat down with Bartiromo a few weeks ago as she was planning the new show, which, when we talked, didn’t yet have a name. WATCH:
