NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt will anchor the evening newscast from Trump Tower Wednesday, to allow for a live interview with presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
The network is billing it as “an exclusive live network interview,” and follows the announcement Tuesday night that Ted Cruz had suspended his campaign, and an afternoon news conference scheduled in Ohio Wednesday in which Trump’s remaining challenger, John Kasich, was expected to end his bid for the GOP nomination.
