CNN Segment on Flooding Leads to $1 Million Donation

CNN anchor Ashleigh Banfield was conducting a live, in-studio segment on her program Legal View last week about the horrific flooding in Louisiana. Heart breaking photos of a flooded-out local Salvation Army were shown in the background during her report. Banfield then held a remote interview with Captain Brett Meredith, head of the that Salvation Army of Baton Rouge, who was speaking from a temporary office. This doesn’t end up being your typical conversation. How so? An anonymous donor went on to pledge $1 million to the Salvation Army for Louisiana relief efforts, citing this exact interview in the process.
