King Gets Beatles Exclusive; He Confuses Ringo Starr With George Harrison

Larry King had an impressive exclusive interview with the Beatles on Tuesday night.

“It’s the only time the two surviving Beatles and the deceased Beatles wives have agreed to be interviewed together,” Rolling Stone says.

Still, King managed to embarrass himself only 23 minutes into the show.

It happened after King asked Paul McCartney about the day John Lennon died. Then King looked at Ringo Starr to ask the same question. But he accidently asked “George, where were you?” instead.

George? This is Ringo here,” McCartney responded, surprised. Ringo laughed.

A second later, King tried to recover: “I was getting to George,” referring to a later question about George Harrison‘s death.

“No you weren’t Larry!,” McCartney teased. Starr tried to move on (“shut up, it’s my turn!”), but McCartney piled on: “He got your name wrong on natonal television!” “Give him a break,” Starr replied…
