File this one under technology experiments gone extremely wrong: NBC News correspondent Kerry Sanders appeared on the “Today” show this week to test out an app that claims to repel mosquitoes by placing his arm into a cage full of the bugs. To the horror of the show’s anchors, the app didn’t work, which Sanders figured out fairly quickly — but not quickly enough to spare him from more than 300 mosquito bites. Watch (if you dare):
Sanders was back on the show Friday, appropriately testing home remedies for mosquito bites. “It itches,” he said in the understatement of the century.
